Cleaning your security screens

To clean your security screens properly, simply follow these easy steps:

1. First ensure that your windows and doors are firmly closed.
2. Using a standard domestic garden hose on medium pressure, spray the security screens working from top to bottom.
3. Using a soft bristled broom with a mild detergent, gently scrub the security mesh and rinse off soapy water.
4. Ensure that the window drains are completely free of accumulated dirt or other blockage. This will be beneficial for drainage during heavy storms.​

Woven stainless steel mesh can be subject to ‘tea staining’, which is small blemishes caused by airborne impurities reacting with the powder-coated finish. It is beneficial for all woven stainless steel security grills to be washed with mild detergent on a regular basis to prevent tea staining.
